| The Grin Variations is a visual poem for the screen co-written by hundreds of school pupils; they’re of all ages, some attend Parenthorn High School in the UK, others are students at International School Hague in Holland. Their work is a response to the concrete poem Grin by Bob Cobbing and is also a re-working of the daily newspapers. The project has been devised and overseen by British poet Philip Davenport and edited by artist Darren Marsh as part of the international 2009 Text Festival in the UK (www.textfestival.com) which brings together poets and artists who experiment with text. The Grin Variations premiered at Bury Art Gallery + Museum UK and International School Hague and Stroom Gallery in Holland. To view the animations please click on the above image. >back | >HOME |
